Blount Tempest. [A novel
A three-volume Victorian novel by the preacher and reader John Chippendall Montesquieu Bellew, issued in London by Hurst & Blackett in 1865 for the circulating-library readership. The plates are all one repeated wood-engraved chapter headpiece: a low arched band of ivy and grape-vine leaves with a woman's head in a central shield and diapered corner blocks, useful as a symmetrical rule-and-foliage header or a face-in-cartouche motif.
