Articles on the geology of North America and other subjects, reprinted from various periodicals
A gathered set of reprinted periodical papers on North American geology and mining subjects by the American geologist and mining engineer William Phipps Blake, issued from the mid-1850s onward for engineers and technical readers. The plates are line-engraved machine drawings of stone-breakers and jaw crushers — sectional elevations, side views and perspectives with letter keys, flywheels, toggles and hatched frames usable as clean mechanical diagram stock.
