Tarantella. A romance
Tarantella is a novel by the poet and translator Mathilde Blind, issued in London by T. Fisher Unwin in 1885 for readers of Victorian literary fiction. The plates are chapter-opening initials: outlined capitals set in ruled squares, filled with scrolling foliage, six-petalled flowers and cornucopias spilling fruit, drawn in even black line on cream paper and usable as drop caps or spot ornament.
