A German school textbook of mathematical geography by Hans Anton Brettner, issued in its fourth revised and enlarged edition in 1856 for classroom use by pupils and teachers. The figures are numbered line diagrams printed with the letterpress: circles and spheres crossed by chords, radii, horizon and equator lines and dotted arcs, labelled with italic and roman letters, usable as spare geometric motifs or celestial-sphere schematics.
