Nora Clinton; or Did I do right?
A Victorian moral tale for young readers by Emily Brodie, issued in London by J. F. Shaw & Co. in 1883, a publisher of religious and improving juvenile fiction. The single plate is a fine-line wood engraving with a quoted caption beneath: a ragged boy on a doorstep touching his cap to a frock-coated gentleman in a top hat, a gas lamp glowing behind them, useful for street-encounter staging, night lighting with an isolated light source, and period costume contrast.
