A local history of the west London parishes of Chelsea, Kensington, Fulham and Hammersmith, written by Isabella Burt and published by J. Saunders in 1871 for antiquarian readers and residents. The plates here are line-engraved ornaments: horizontal headbands of interlaced scrolling stems with oak, ivy and vine leaves, and a small tailpiece combining shamrock, rose, thistle and holly, usable as rules, dividers and chapter openers.
