A local history of Pont-Audemer in Normandy by Alfred Canel, issued in 1885 with a biographical notice by Amand Montier, for regional antiquarians and subscribers. The plates here are repeated printings of one engraved tailpiece — a smiling grotesque mask amid scrolled foliage, looped ribbons, bellflower tassels and the initials L M and C M — usable as a symmetrical ornament, divider or colophon device.
