Catlin's Notes of Eight Years' Travels and Residence in Europe, with the North American Indian Collection. With anecdotes and incidents of the travels and adventures of three different parties of American Indians, whom he introduced to the Courts of England, France and Belgium
George Catlin's own account, published by himself in London in 1848, of touring his North American Indian gallery and three parties of Ojibbeway and Iowa visitors through the courts and exhibition halls of England, France and Belgium. The plates are unshaded outline drawings, numbered in the corner, showing crowded rooms, dancing and standing groups, and rows of portrait heads in European and Native dress; useful for line-only figure crowds, period costume silhouettes and sparse cloud and interior backgrounds.
