Julian Cloughton, or, Lad-life in Norfolk
A boys' novel of country life by the Reverend Greville John Chester, issued in 1880 by Marcus Ward & Co. for juvenile readers. Its decoration is not narrative but ornamental: outline headpieces and tailpieces of symmetrical scrolling foliage with lily and tulip forms, plus a lightly shaded rose vignette, all printed as fine open line on cream paper and easy to enlarge or recolour.
