A 19th-century reprint (Chenevier & Chavet, 1878) of Nicolas Chorier's 17th-century history of Dauphiné and the genealogy of the house of Sassenage, set for French antiquarian and local-history readers. The plates are line-engraved decorated initials and tailpieces: foliate capitals with tulips, acanthus and grotesque masks, plus symmetrical scroll ornaments usable as drop caps, dividers and border motifs.
