A three-volume-style Victorian novel by Luke Wesley Church, issued by Tinsley Brothers in London in 1874 for the circulating-library reading public. The plates are small wood-engraved chapter ornaments printed in green and black: rose, shamrock, thistle and holly sprays knotted around a Tudor rose, a basket of grapes under trailing vine, and a bird's nest with eggs among leaves.
