Historical novel for young readers set in the fourteenth century, written by Christabel Rose Coleridge and published in London by Gardner, Darton & Co. in 1896. The plates are repeated line-drawn chapter headpieces built as Gothic canopied screens: cusped arcades, foliate capitals, robed figures in side niches, and a carved panel of hounds coursing stags — reusable frames for titles and headings.
