The Woodleighs of Amscote ... Illustrated
A three-volume-style Victorian novel, The Woodleighs of Amscote, written by Frances Collins and F. Percy Cotton and published in London by W. Swan Sonnenschein & Allen in 1881 for a general reading public. The plates here are small printer's ornaments in line engraving: paired doves in a stippled oval cartouche, scrolling acanthus tailpieces and symmetrical foliate headpieces usable as dividers, spot motifs or monogram frames.
