The Metallurgy of Lead and Silver. Part I. Lead. (Part II. Silver.)
A technical handbook on the smelting and refining of lead and silver, written by Henry Francis Collins and published by Charles Griffin & Co. in London in 1899 for mining engineers, assayers and students. The plates are engraved sectional elevations and plans of furnaces, settlers, leaching vats and precipitating tanks, drawn in fine outline with hatched masonry and brickwork, lettered part keys, and ruled scale bars in inches and feet that designers can lift as ready-made diagram furniture.
