Poets in the Garden. [With plates
An 1886 London anthology of garden and flower verse assembled by the Irish novelist May Crommelin for Victorian parlour readers, issued with engraved plates and ornaments. The pictures are light pen-and-ink headpieces and tailpieces: symmetrical swags of blossom and foliage framing small scenes of birds on nests, sheaves of grasses, and radiating sunbursts, usable as rules, borders, and chapter ornaments.
