Hall and published in London by Simpkin, Marshall in 1882 for touring readers and residents. Line engravings after Cross's drawings show timbered manor houses, church exteriors, arched doorways and ivy-covered ruins, with decorated drop initials and captioned vignettes usable as spot illustrations or borders.
