A local history of Skipton in Craven, Yorkshire, written by William Harbutt Dawson and published in London by Simpkin, Marshall in 1882 for townspeople and antiquarians. Wood-engraved views show the parish church, Christ Church, the castle gateway and streets, plus a rubbing of the Clifford tomb brass with heraldry, Gothic tracery and blackletter inscription.
