A juvenile adventure novel set among the Patagonian Indians, written by Lady Florence Dixie and published in London by Henry & Co. in 1890 for young readers. The plates in the index are repeating wood-engraved chapter ornaments rather than scene illustrations: symmetrical strapwork cartouches with scrolling acanthus, butterflies, curled sea-serpent forms and a hanging tassel, plus a grotesque mask under a basket of flowers, usable as headpieces, dividers and spot ornaments.
