Chorographie du Comté de Nice
A French-language topographical and historical survey of the County of Nice, written by Baron Louis Durante and published in 1847 for readers of regional history and geography. The plates here are small wood-engraved tailpieces closing chapters: symmetrical arrangements of curling ribbons, acanthus scrolls, a scalloped leaf and a bearded mask, drawn in fine hatched line on cream paper and usable as section dividers, end marks or small ornamental stamps.
