The Spanish Cavalier. A story of Seville. By A. L. O. E., etc. [i.e. Miss C. Tucker

E., A. L. O. · 1875 · 8 pictures

A religious adventure tale set in Seville, written by the English evangelical children's author Charlotte Maria Tucker under the pen name A. L. O. E. and published in London in 1875 for young Protestant readers. The eight plates are tonal wood engravings of Andalusian places, pairing dim interiors of an inn and the Alcazar with sunlit street and cathedral views, useful for stipple-built shadow, Moorish arch and plasterwork pattern, and crowded narrow-street staging.
