Lays of the Colleges, being a collection of songs and verses by members of the Æsculapian, Medico-Chirurgical and other Professional Clubs in Edinburgh
A collection of club songs and verses written by members of Edinburgh's Æsculapian, Medico-Chirurgical and other professional societies, printed by Maclachlan & Stewart in 1886 for circulation among the city's doctors. The plates are printers' ornaments in fine black line: symmetrical foliate tailpieces with tulips, five-petalled blossoms and scrolling tendrils, and horizontal headbands combining Greek-key fret panels with a square floral medallion, usable as dividers, page furniture or logo cores.
