The Metallurgy of Silver, Gold, and Mercury in the United States
A technical treatise on silver, gold, and mercury metallurgy by Thomas Egleston, published in 1887 by the offices of "Engineering" for mining engineers and metallurgists working American ore deposits. The plates are wood-engraved machine drawings — amalgamating pans, furnaces, settling tanks and supply piping — shown in section, elevation and plan with letter keys, hatched masonry and inch-and-foot scale bars, useful as ruled industrial linework and cutaway diagram conventions.
