A Woman's Hand. [A novel
A three-volume-style Victorian novel by E. M. Ellis, published by Jarrold & Sons in London in 1884 for the general circulating-library readership. The plates here are not scenes but printer's ornaments: symmetrical headpieces built from a central cartouche or rosette medallion ringed by a laurel wreath, with scrolling acanthus wings, hanging drops and ribbon tails, usable as chapter rules, dividers and title-page devices.
