English Lake Scenery. Illustrated with a series of coloured plates from drawings by A. F. Lydon
A late-Victorian topographical picture book of the English Lake District, published in London by J. Walker & Co. in 1880 with colour plates after watercolours by Alexander Francis Lydon, aimed at tourists and armchair travellers. The chromolithographs show lakes ringed by rounded fells, waterfalls, and small figures on foreground crags, offering pale graded skies, layered hills, and soft green-and-ochre colour separations.
