Nature and Art: poems and pictures from the best authors and artists. Compiled by L. R. Estes. Illustrated with ... etchings ... and ... illustrations, etc
An 1890 gift anthology of verse and pictures compiled by Louise Reid Estes for Sonnenschein & Co. in London, pairing selections from British and American poets with etchings and wood-engraved landscape plates for a general home readership. The plates are quiet outdoor scenes in fine grey line—wooded streams, rocky gullies, a town skyline seen across fields—some circular or vignetted with edges fading into blank paper, useful for soft-edged headers, tonal backgrounds and roundel frames.
