Kabyles et Kroumirs ... Dessins de MM. Andrieux, Duhousset, C. Gosselin, II. Vogel, d'après le croquis de l'auteur. Gravure de F. Méaulle
A French illustrated travel narrative of 1882 on the Kabyles of Algeria and the Kroumirs of Tunisia, drawn by Andrieux, Duhousset, Gosselin and Vogel from the author's own sketches and engraved on wood by F. Méaulle for a Paris reading public. The 68 wood engravings mix hillside towns of flat-roofed houses and domed tombs with tented camps, mounted riders, camels and groups of villagers in draped robes, offering designers landscape vignettes with arched top corners, crowd studies and animal figures in fine parallel-line tone.
