An anthology of English poetry selected by Frederic William Farrar, issued by Suttaby & Co. in London in 1883 for general Victorian readers. The plates are fine-line ornaments printed in green-black on cream: symmetrical arabesques built from acanthus scrolls, thistle and rose rosettes, urns, swan-necked birds and a small human mask, usable as head- and tailpieces, section dividers or cartouche frames.
