The Church Heraldry of Norfolk: a description of all coats of arms on brasses, monuments, etc., now to be found in the county. Illustrated ... With Notes from the inscriptions attached
A county antiquarian survey by Edmund Farrer, published in Norwich by A. H. Goose & Co. in 1885, recording every coat of arms found on brasses, monuments and memorials in Norfolk churches for local historians and genealogists. The line drawings are outline shields filled with charges — fleurs-de-lis, eagles, crosses, roses, engrailed and indented divisions — plus circular funerary hatchments with mantling, helm and crest, giving designers a stock of clean heraldic shapes, tinctures rendered as hatching, and scrollwork cartouche frames.
