Kingsdene. A novel
A three-volume society novel by the Hon. Maria Georgiana Fetherstonhaugh, published in London in 1878 for circulating-library readers. The plates are not scenes but printer's ornaments: horizontal wood-engraved headbands of symmetrical acanthus scrolls flanking a central crowned head, winged mask, or urn, drawn in fine black line on cream paper and easy to cut out as chapter rules, dividers, or frame borders.
