In Glenoran. [A Novel
A three-volume-style Victorian novel published in 1888 under the pseudonym M. B. Fife by the Scottish writer Margaret Moyes Black, issued in London for the circulating-library reading public. The wood-engraved vignettes are small circular landscapes—church spires, hills, a walled town—ringed by wheat ears, poppies, wild roses and ivy, usable as chapter-head ornaments, roundel frames and botanical border elements.
