The Fijiad; or, English Nights' Entertainments. (By an author of the Siliad [i.e. R. Emerson] and others.)

EMERSON, S. R. · 1874 · Ward, Lock & Tyler · 37 pictures

An 1874 comic burlesque in verse, "The Fijiad; or, English Nights' Entertainments," issued by Ward, Lock & Tyler in London for readers of topical satire and follow-up to the same author's "Siliad." The plates are narrow marginal strips holding two or three small pen-line vignettes stacked in a column: sailing ships and islanders, top-hatted gentlemen, a helmeted Roman, a man under a huge umbrella, useful as spot drawings, column ornaments, and cut-out comic figures.
