Geographie Générale ... Avec index, etc
A general geography textbook by Pierre Foncin, a history teacher at the Lycée de Bordeaux, published in France in 1887 for secondary-school pupils. Its illustrations are small wood-engraved thematic maps of France and its colonies, with departments reduced to numbers, hatched and stippled zones for coal, iron and vine cultivation, and boxed titles and legends set inside the map frame — useful for line-based cartographic patterns, hatching textures and compact map labelling.
