Handbuch der alten Geographie, etc
Albert Forbiger's Handbuch der alten Geographie is a German scholarly handbook of classical geography, published in 1843 for philologists and students reconstructing how Greek and Roman writers mapped the world. The plates are thin-line engravings printed among the text: circles divided by chords and dotted arcs, wind roses labelled with Greek names, and spheres crossed by meridians, offering designers geometric diagram vocabulary and Greek-lettered annotation.
