The Light-ship Hand; or, the Strange Adventures of Richard Gayden, etc. [A tale
A nautical adventure tale by Henry Frith, issued in London in 1893 by the Sunday School Union for young readers. The wood-engraved vignettes are small landscape panels — smacks and schooners on choppy water, headlands, a wooded lane with a distant spire — many with sprays of leaves and berries breaking past the ruled frame, giving designers ready chapter headers, spot views and foliage borders.
