Essai historique sur la Baronnie de Pujols en Agenais
A local antiquarian history of the barony of Pujols in the Agenais region of southwest France, written by J. B. Gerbeau and printed in 1891 for readers of provincial history and genealogy. The plates are typographic decoration rather than illustration: symmetrical foliate headpieces built around an urn, and square initial capitals whose scrolling vines sit on a stippled dotted ground, usable as drop caps, section breaks, and border motifs.
