The works of Oliver Goldsmith ... With introductions, notes, and a life of Oliver Goldsmith, by John Francis Waller
A collected edition of Oliver Goldsmith's works issued in London in 1871, with introductions, notes and a life by the Irish writer John Francis Waller, aimed at Victorian household readers. The wood-engraved plates stage crowded scenes from The Vicar of Wakefield in eighteenth-century dress, each set in a ruled frame with scrolled corner ornaments and a captioned title strip usable as border and label stock.
