Poppæa
A short novel by Julie Grinnell Cruger, writing as Julien Gordon, issued in 1895 by J. B. Lippincott for American readers of fashionable society fiction. The single illustration is a small line-drawn tailpiece: a symmetrical arrangement of acanthus scrolls, blank ribbon banners, paired horseshoes, and crouching winged beasts flanking the monogram initials LM and GM, usable as a monogram frame or chapter ornament.
