Dorothy Saddington. [A novel
A three-volume-era Victorian novel by Sarah Matilda Hanbury, issued in London by Skeffington & Son in 1895 for the circulating-library reading public. The plates here are small black-line chapter headpieces: symmetrical sprays of oak, clover and bellflower framing a medallion portrait of a bearded man, plus geometric lozenge and starburst ornaments usable as dividers, spot motifs or masthead flourishes.
