The “Nausicaa.” A love story
A short Victorian romance novel by Sarah Matilda Hanbury, published in London by Skeffington & Son in 1891 for the general circulating-library readership. The plates are line-engraved chapter ornaments: symmetrical headpieces and tailpieces built from lozenge panels, curling scrollwork, star-flowers and leafy sprays, plus a roundel portrait of a bearded man framed in oak and clover, usable as dividers, spot decoration and vignette frames.
