A three-volume-style Victorian novel by Mrs J. Harcourt, issued in London by Remington & Co. in 1884 for the circulating-library readership. The single illustration is a small pen-and-ink chapter vignette: a fluted footed urn with scrolled handles heaped with grapes, pears and leaves, trailing vines and a cast shadow, usable as a tailpiece or spot ornament.
