The Dove's Nest and other tales. By J. Hatton, R. Jefferies, H. S. Clarke, etc
A collection of short tales by Joseph Hatton, Richard Jefferies, H. S. Clarke and others, issued in London by Vizetelly & Co. in 1886 for general fiction readers. The 41 pen-and-ink drawings show courting couples, ballroom crowds, garden conversations and study interiors in mid-1880s dress, with fine hatched shading and open backgrounds useful for period costume and figure silhouettes.
