A German illustrated walking tour of the Starnberger See south of Munich, written and drawn by G. A. Horst with wood engravings cut by H. Wolf, published in 1876 for readers and summer visitors to the Bavarian lakes. The plates are tonal wood-engraved landscapes: lakeshore views framed by gnarled trees, villas and castles on wooded slopes, valley panoramas with distant Alps, plus captions in Fraktur and drop-cap initials set into the text block for page-layout and background use.
