Literary Landmarks of London ... Eighth edition, revised and enlarged, etc
A literary guidebook to the London houses and haunts of writers, compiled by the American critic Laurence Hutton and issued in its eighth revised edition by Osgood, McIlvaine in 1892 for readers and travellers. The plates are small stipple-and-line engraved head-and-shoulders portraits of British authors in early nineteenth-century collars and stocks, useful as cut-out faces, vignette headpieces, or reference for fine crosshatched shading on pale paper.
