The Indian Mirror; or, illustrations of Bible truth drawn from life in India
A missionary handbook of 1878 that explains Bible passages by comparing them with everyday Indian village life, published in London for British Sunday-school teachers and general readers. The wood engravings are small captioned vignettes of women grinding grain, drawing water, ornaments, caste customs, thatched huts, palms and elephants, useful for figure groups, domestic tools and simple tropical backgrounds.
