The Wild Tribes of the Soudan. An account of travel and sport, chiefly in the Basé country, etc
A Victorian travel and big-game hunting narrative by Frank Linsly James, published by John Murray in London in 1883 for British readers following exploration in the eastern Soudan and Basé country. Wood-engraved plates after field sketches show grass-hut camps and tents, seated village groups with spears, thorn scrub and doum palms, and pack camels on rocky mountain passes, giving designers open line landscapes and figure clusters with pale skies.
