The Dewy Morn. A novel
A three-volume Victorian novel by the English nature writer Richard Jefferies, published in London by Richard Bentley & Son in 1884 for the circulating-library readership. Its illustrations are small black-and-white wood-engraved tailpieces of wild plants — strawberry runners with blossom and fruit, sprays of narrow-leaved flowers — drawn as flat silhouettes with white outlines, usable as chapter ornaments, spot motifs, or repeat units.
