A short adventure story by Annie Jenkyns, issued in London by T. Fisher Unwin in 1885, with the digitised plates coming from the publisher's 1884 trade catalogue of new and recent books bound in at the back. The pictures are wood-engraved ornament and sample illustrations: a title page framed in dense foliate scrollwork, an owl perched in a strapwork cartouche, and a specimen scene of a woman, child and cloaked stranger on a hedged path.
