A Journey round the World. With illustrations by C. Marr
An 1888 illustrated travel-adventure narrative for young readers, drawn by Carl Marr and published in London by G. Routledge & Sons. The plates are outline drawings printed in flat green, ochre and rose tints that bleed into the text columns, favouring rigging and masts, crowded quaysides, sailors at the rail, and circular vignettes of headlands and pine slopes; useful for limited-palette ship and harbour motifs and for text-wrapped page layouts.
