A short story published in 1889 by the English actress and writer Frances Anne Kemble (Fanny Kemble), issued in London for general readers. The pictures are printer's ornaments: inverted-triangle tailpieces of clover, Tudor roses, poppies and small five-petalled blossoms drawn in solid black or fine outline, with coiling stems and scattered dots — ready-made page breaks and spot decoration.
