A practical Treatise on Metallurgy, adapted from the last German edition of Professor K.'s Metallurgy, by W. Crookes and E. Röhrig ... Illustrated, etc
A three-volume technical handbook on smelting and refining, adapted in 1868 by William Crookes and Ernst Otto Röhrig from Bruno Kerl's German Metallurgy for English works managers, assayers and engineering students. The 112 figures are numbered wood-engraved sections and elevations of furnaces, kilns, tuyeres, flues and roasting chambers, drawn in ruled line with diagonal hatching for masonry, italic letter keys and occasional foot scales — usable as clean industrial cutaway shapes and hatch textures.
